By default, WhatsUp Gold rolls up hourly data after 3 days.
The number in the hourly data box must be greater than the number of raw data days. After hourly data is rolled up to daily data, hourly entries are flagged as "deleted," and are overwritten with new performance monitor data.
This means that between the 12th and 13th hour, WhatsUp Gold rolls up raw data into hourly data. By default, WhatsUp Gold rolls up raw data after 12 hours. Select the number of days and/or hours in the time boxes. It is recommended to set this value as low as possible (as low as 1 hour), to avoid database overgrowth. When raw data is rolled up, it is consolidated into one row per hour. Until raw data is rolled up, it takes up one row per poll in the database, and cannot be deleted from the database. Raw data is data that is gathered during each reporting interval configured through Device Properties - Performance Monitors.

If this is Express, you're running SQL Express, if it's anything else you're running full SQL which eliminates the two limitations of SQL Express mentioned above. To determine whether or not SQL Express is in use, navigate in the web console to Settings > System Services At the top you'll see Database Status. Before adjusting these settings, please note whether or not the environment is using Full SQL or SQL Express (installed by default) as SQL Express has a 10 GB size Maximum and it can only leverage 1.4GB of memory.
